Take Brooke Tatnell For Show And Tell Competition

For the months of December and January fans had the chance to enter the "Take Brooke Tatnell For Show and Tell" Competition online on brooketatnell.com

The idea of the competition was for fans to submit in 50 words or less why they would like Brooke to come to their school for 'Show And Tell'.

The lucky contestant, well in the case contestants, were brothers Cameron and Jordan Rowley from South Australia.

Because Brooke's flight times didn't allow a visit to their school Brooke arranged to meet with the boys for a couple hours for lunch at their favorite eatery - Fasta Pasta on Henley Beach Rd - during his recent visit to Speedway City.

The lunch went extremely well!

Brooke was very generous in giving us a little over 2 hours of his time and it was tremendous to have the opportunity to talk to him in a private setting. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience and thank Brooke immensely.

The boys were pretty quiet most of the time but I can assure you they took in most of what Brooke had to say and were really pleased to be there. They were keen to get to the speedway later on to pick up their t-shirts and watch Brooke in action.

The competition is a great idea as there wouldn't be a large number of elite sportspeople willing to give their time to just anybody as Brooke did with us. From a parent's perspective, having lunch gave us a chance to see how the boys enjoyed it and also to enjoy his company as well - had it stayed as a school visit, I'm sure the boys would have loved the attention from their classmates afterwards but we may not have enjoyed as much individual time with Brooke as we got and couldn't have shared in the experience as much.

Either way, it was a very generous offer and we are so glad we took the time to enter.

We will all remember the day for a long time and consider ourselves privileged to know Brooke a lot better than we did before.
